Child Life specialists work in a hospital setting with pediatric patients and they become an important part of the team as they work alongside nurses and doctors to help young patients cope with the medical experience. Specialists work with patients from infancy to early adulthood to help them understand the procedures they will experience, from stitches to intensive care.
