PERSONAL TESTIMONIALS

Tripler Army Medical Center, Hawaii

Nadeiah had so much fun with her doll. She loved decorating the doll and making it her own. She was so excited and happy. She named her doll “Faith” and loved that it didn’t have hair – just like her!

Ms. Wright

Mother of Nadeiah, age 6

Augusta Victoria Hospital, Jerusalem

The current situation is better for my child than before. Using these positions and new methods in drawing blood has helped improve my child’s psyche.

Dina H.

A parent following Standish Foundation staff training

Joann Medical Center, Tbilisi, Georgia

We’ve gained useful information and knowledge on the child’s development, their needs in hospital and different strategies to meet those needs. This knowledge helps a lot in my daily practice.

IMPACT REPORTING

A Note About Data We Collect

Consistency, integrity and transparency guide us.

We collect data on the number of children and families, healthcare professionals and hospitals/clinics impacted by each of our programs on a monthly basis. We use this data to calculate our impact monthly, quarterly and annually.

How We Obtain Data

Given we have direct and indirect client programming, there are 2 ways we obtain data on the number of children and families impacted by our programs. For direct programming, we compile the data from our own service delivery reports. For indirect client programming, we receive specific data from our hospital partners.

Data Collection In Action

Frequently, a site has direct and indirect programming. We calculate our impact for each program on a monthly basis. For example:

  • A psychologist participating in our Global Fellowship will provide psychosocial interventions for children. We calculate Fellowship impact by the number of Fellows, number of hospitals/clinics served, and the number of children/families impacted by the Fellows.
  • We calculate the number of children visiting the playrooms impacted by our Playroom Sponsorships.
  • Program Partnerships provide salary grants for psychologists so we calculate the number of psychologists and the number of children impacted.
